Events so far…

This wonderful patchwork banner was created by Margaret Taylor. It is currently being displayed in the church foyer, with the four seasons shown on each side. There is a lot of detail, so come in and see it in all its glory!

An Evening with Lincoln Noel – Saturday 25th January

PA100 events commenced with an evening of music and entertainment with Lincoln. He took the audience on a musical journey with songs from Fats Waller and Louis Armstrong, through to Peer Gynt and onward with numbers from the musical Oliver! Finishing of with “The bear necessities” and “New York, New York”. A wonderful and memorable evening.

Pancake Party – Saturday 1st March

The fun continued at the beginning of March, with a pancake themed party. It started with music and activities in the minor hall, followed by the eating of a HUGE amount of pancakes with various toppings. For those that weren’t too full, everyone moved into the main hall where we had pancake races including who could get their pancake the highest. There may even be the odd pancake still stuck to the ceiling!

Quiz of the Centenary – Saturday 15th March

The best minds (well we though so!) gathered to take part in the quiz of the centenary, answering questions in 11 rounds of general knowledge, music and film clips, spanning the decades from the 1920’s when the church was built.

It was a close run thing with the gap between the winning team and second place was a mere 4 points.
