Safeguarding Policy

SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

Park Avenue Methodist Church takes seriously the 1989 Children’s Act produced by the Home Office. It is the responsibility of each one of us to prevent the physical, sexual and emotional abuse of children and young people, to prevent abuse and to report any abuse discovered or suspected.

Any person using Park Avenue premises must adopt either the Methodist Safeguarding policy and sign the appropriate form to declare they have not been convicted or received a formal caution concerning offences against children or young people, or prove that they have already signed such an agreement.

Failure to comply will mean that the premises cannot be used by the person(s) concerned.

ALL ENQUIRIES VIA THE CHURCH OFFICE – TEL: 01604 720624.
