PA Network of Friends

Earlier this year, Alan & Janet Brett, along with Malcom Hill and Emma Brett (the instructor of the PA network gentle keep fit sessions) spent a morning at Mercedes AMD high performance powertrain in Brixworth, Northamptonshire.

They enjoyed a tour around the facility and were given a generous donation to support the continuing work of the PA network of friends.

They are pictured underneath the car that Sir Lewis Hamilton drove whilst with Mercedes.

We would like to offer our sincere thanks to all at Mercedes.

PA Network of Friends is an outreach scheme supported by Park Grove Community Church and is aimed at providing activities and forms of social interaction for lonely and isolated members of the local community. The scheme is meeting an important and growing need. It is managed by a small committee of church members and friends.

The scheme currently provides a weekly Lunch Club and a Fitness, Fun an Fellowship Group.

The Lunch Club

Each Monday at 12.15 pm. The meals are prepared by a professional cook and the event, which includes a quiz and raffle, is organised and run by volunteers from the church. Transport is provided if required.

Gentle Keep Fit session

Supervised by a qualified Personal Trainer and is held each Thursday at 10.15 am. Refreshments are provided at the end of each session. Again transport is provided as required.

The scheme is self funding and a charge is made for each session to cover the costs involved. Both events are held in a friendly and stimulating atmosphere and social interaction is encouraged.
